As I grew older and was allowed to expand my "roaming alone" area, I could move beyone the back yard and "The Jungle". Further along the hillside, I discovered a grove of White Pine Trees. There was not a lot of undergrowth here and it became a favoite spot for a summer picnic.
Later as an adult this same grove (now much older with larger trees) was still a favorite place. Now I was enjoying it with my own child. Still later this became a three generation grove which holds happy memories for myself, my adult child and her own son.
